SureFlap’s new recruits have international pedigree

Continuing its commitment to export, SureFlap the microchip pet door company has appointed native German speakers Sophie Whiteley-Emminger and Kathleen Speichert to help build its business across Europe.

Austrian-born Sophie Whiteley-Emminger, who also speaks fluent French and Spanish, has become the European Sales Manager.  Sophie has significant experience of building pan-European sales networks and worked as a European account manager in the IT distribution sector, overseeing customer accounts with HCL and BMW.

Kathleen Speichert has a Masters in media and communication sciences and has joined SureFlap as the new German marketing assistant. The company has an active social media presence in English so Kathleen will be looking to develop its German online activities. In her previous position, with the UK’s leading browser games publisher, she grew their social media channels to more than half a million fans.

Business Development Director Andy Bank says that the personal touch is vital when developing international accounts.

“Our success has been built on understanding the needs of our customers, both in the veterinary and retail channel and with the end users.

“Having native speakers for a range of European languages and people that have lived and worked in different countries has added greatly to our ability to do business abroad.”

At PATS this month, SureFlap launched its Microchip Pet Door for larger cats and small dogs, the latest in a range of innovative products.
